This character cottage accommodates 8 people in 4 bedrooms (priced for two in Low Season), and has much charm, with low ceilings, exposed beams, natural wood and stripped pine features. Puddleduck Cottage is in a row of 18th Century stone-built cottages, centrally situated in the village, only a few yards from the river and our excellent local General StoresPost Office, the popular traditional Ship Inn and riverside village greens. A rowing boat is available for use (by arrangement). Access to the Garden, which overlooks the river and is fully enclosed with Summer House, Picnic Bench and Barbecue is reached via a footpath from the back of the cottage. The Cottage has Free WiFi Broadband plus free charging units for Electric Cars (13 and 32 amp). Weekly bookings are from Saturday to Saturday. Short Breaks are available in Low Season. By popular request the cottage does not allow smoking or pets. Lerryn is a small, friendly, picturesque and magical riverside village, peacefully nestling in a lovely tree lined river valley. Lerryn is set in a conservation area within an area of outstanding natural beauty. The Eden Project is approx 9 miles and the Lost Gardens of Heligan is approximately 13 miles. On the South Coast, Fowey, Mevagissey, Polperro and Looe are all in easy driving distance, whilst further away, on the North coast, but within easy reach, are Newquay, Padstow and Tintagel.

Directions

By RoadTravelling M5 southbound the motorway ends near Exeter and becomes the A38 Devon Expressway. Continue on the A38 through Plymouth into Cornwall across the Tamar Bridge. Leave the A38 at Dobwalls ( approximately one mile after the Liskeard bypass) and join the A390 towards St Austell. About half a mile before reaching Lostwithiel you will see a National petrol station on the left. After passing the petrol station take the first turning on the left (Grenville Road) and then left again after approximately 300 yards (Lanwithan Road). Follow this road for 3 miles, taking care, as it is very narrow in places. Lerryn is approached over a narrow stone river bridge, follow the road round past the village shop and the Ship Inn. Puddleduck Cottage is on the right, the second cottage past the Ship Inn.By Rail The nearest Rail Stations are Lostwithiel (3 miles) or Bodmin Parkway (8 miles). Thereafter the journey will have to be completed by Taxi (no bus service).
